Math/Science/7.1 - Ms. Joy Barnett
This is my first full year teaching at Connect Charter School. I recently graduated from Mount Royal University and love the opportunity for inquiry learning that our school provides. I’m excited to be part of the EXPO program and how my passion for outdoor education can enhance those experiences. When I’m not teaching, or planning what to teach, I love to go fly fishing, explore nature, create art pieces, and write songs, and go for long walks on the beach. I hope to inspire young minds and help students find out who they really are and what they love to do!

Humanities/7.2 - Mrs. Heather Fawcett
This is my 8th year teaching at Connect. I have previously taught at International Schools in New Zealand, Korea and Japan. In addition to Humanities I am passionate about social justice and responsible citizenship in education and love working with the Me to We electives and clubs at the school. My hope for my students is that we cultivate a thoughtful and caring environment in which everyone feels welcomed and supported. My passions outside of school are spending time with my amazing family riding bikes, going to the park, reading books and watching American Ninja Warrior!

Math/Science/7.3 - Mrs. Heidi Swinamer
This is my second year teaching at Connect. In addition to teaching Math and Science, I am also excited to be involved in the Connect community through coaching Sr. Girls volleyball this fall, and any other opportunities that may arise throughout the year. I am looking forward to experiencing EXPO with this incredible group, for the first time this year. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, drinking coffee, reading, and travelling to the mountains with my husband and sweet puppy Lily!

Humanities/7.4 - Ms. Jody Pereverzoff
I am lucky to get to spend my 8th year teaching (my fourth year teaching grade 7) here at Connect Charter School. My goal this year is to create a safe environment where students feel excited, challenged, respected, engaged and supported. I am passionate about Humanities and look forward to spending another year with this awesome group. I will also be coaching Junior Girls volleyball for the 2017/2018 year. Outside of work, I love to spend time at the park with my puggle puppy, camp, exercise, and spend time with my adorable nephew, Jensen.
